The Equal Access in Science and Medicine committee is pleased to welcome Dr. Raven Baxter to present our Spring 2023 lecture on Monday May 15th from 5:00–6:00 PM in both the Chevy Chase Auditorium (masks required) and via Zoom. Dr. Baxter, also known as Raven the Science Maven, is a science communicator, molecular biologist, STEM educator, and advocate for underrepresented groups in STEM. During her talk, she will discuss her personal and professional experiences surrounding disability. Dr. Baxter’s lecture will be followed by a catered reception. The Equal Access in Science and Medicine lecture series was established to feature the perspectives of scientists and clinicians with disabilities, chronic illnesses, and mental health conditions. Live captioning (CART) will be provided for this event both in person and virtually.
